Tuition: $675 per week
Learn and practice the foundations of classical ballet technique while emphasizing correct body placement and anatomically sound technique, including correct use of turnout. We will begin each session with a thorough, body-friendly warm-up at the barre designed to improve balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, and posture. We will progress to various exercises in the center and travelling, including jumps and turns. We will conclude each session with longer combinations designed to develop your artistry and performance ability. The small class size insures plenty of individual attention in which I will help you discover what works best for your body. Absolute beginners (no previous training) are welcome. The workshop is limited to twelve dancers. Wear leotard and tights or comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement and ballet slippers. You can also choose to wear thick socks (not too slippery) instead of ballet shoes.
