
Jack Ferguson has been performing and teaching for over 30 years. For 25 years he was a member of the Artist Faculty at the Westminster Choir College Conservatory in Princeton, N.J. He now maintains a private studio and is also active as a choral, organ and voice clinician. As a member of the Artist Faculty his teaching included voice, organ, choral conducting, opera lectures and Coordinator of the Church Music Certificate Program.. Mr. Ferguson received his B.Mus and M.mus from Westminster Choir College. During his undergraduate program he appeared as baritone soloist in a performance of the Brahms Requiem under Leopold Stowkowkis and the American Symphony Orchestra, was a member of the touring Westminster Choir, and was awarded prizes for distinction in church music. His teachers include Joseph Flummerfelt, Alexander McCurdy, Eugene Roan, Lindsey Christiansen and Margaret Harshaw. Post graduate studies have included Cambridge University, and independent studies in France and Italy. Mr. Ferguson has performed extensively in the Middle Atlantic states in opera, oratorio and art song, organ and voice recitals as well as numerous performances at Westminster and master classes with Ned Rorem, Gerard Souzay, Elly Ameling and Margaret Harshaw. He is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. For several years he was the sub organist at the Cadet Chapel, USMA, West Point, N.Y.
