Bonnie Atkinson

Bonnie Atkinson was born in the Adirondack Mountains of Washington County, New York and moved to Maine in 1995. She holds Music Education degrees from UMaine (Bachelors Degree ‘97, Piano Concentration), and Gordon College (Masters Degree ‘16) and has lived, worked and performed in Downeast Maine since 1998. Bonnie has been seen in many music classrooms, and hundreds of K-12 school concerts over the past 28 years, having taught music to generations of students throughout Washington County from Milbridge to Lubec. Bonnie currently is the Fine Arts Chair and Director of Music at Washington Academy in East Machias where she teaches high school concert and jazz bands, choruses and guitar classes. She has been involved as a church musician and choir accompanist since 1998 in the Machias area, and has accompanied many local musicals, plays, and benefits over the years.
